The American Society of Shufa Calligraphy Education (ASSCE) held two pivotal board meetings on July 13 and August 18, 2024. These sessions marked a time of transition and strategic planning for the organization. During these meetings, the board expressed deep appreciation for four longstanding members—Chunmei Guan, Tonglu Li, Yu Li, and Chunmeng Wang—who have significantly shaped ASSCE’s mission and growth. Their invaluable contributions were acknowledged as they stepped down from the executive board.
At the same time, the board welcomed four new members—Chuan Lin, Lingjing Luo, Ran Zhao, and Aihua Zhou—who are expected to bring fresh perspectives and renewed energy to the leadership team.
Additionally, the board discussed plans for the upcoming 14th International Chinese Character and Calligraphy Conference, which will be held in China in 2025. Looking ahead, the board also outlined activities for the fall of 2024, including workshops and calligraphy exhibitions. Through these initiatives, ASSCE aims to expand its reach and impact, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for this ancient art form.
