The three panelists shared their valuable experience and insights in exploring three major topics respectively (1) how to integrate language and culture in undergraduate Chinese Calligraphy classes, (2) how to employ the Performed Culture Approach to teaching Chinese Calligraphy in the U.S., and (3) how to incorporate calligraphy and poetry into the Chinese language curriculum. This event proved highly successful, which was well attended and well-received. The majority of audience indicated that they were deeply inspired by the panelists' innovative pedagogies and benefited from the sample course designs and materials. (Nian Liu)
