Ms. Ren Li and Mr. Kang Zhou Presented at the Annual Teacher Professional Development Workshop Hoste

Brockton High School Chinese teacher, Ren Li, also a calligraphy teacher at Sharon Chinese School, presented at the annual teacher professional development workshop of New England Chinese Language Teachers Association (NECLTA) on May 2. The title of Ms. Li's presentation was Apply Calligraphy and Related Knowledge for Efficient Chinese Instruction. In her presentation, Ms. Li shared 15 successful sample lessons--How to naturally use calligraphy and related knowledge to lead to or explain Chinese language patterns, including analysis, discussion, evaluation, writing, and hands-on activities. Mr. Kang Zhou from MIT also talked about Chinese calligraphy course design, teaching, and assessment. There were a total of 40 participants for this online conference.
